Notes

Hope you’re both rocking!

I provided one option for a top below to get some feedback and provide a price point for you. We can get more options during the design phase and you can give feedback on the direction you want to go with desig and price.

Mappa burl is a type of maple wood that comes from the burl, or growth defect, of the tree, which causes the grain to swirl and form intricate patterns. The wood is typically light in color, ranging from creamy white to pale yellow, with rich, dark streaks running through it. These swirling patterns make it particularly desirable for high-end furniture pieces, veneers, and cabinetry, where its complex visual appeal adds elegance and luxury. Its rarity and the intricate, often one-of-a-kind grain patterns also contribute to its high value in the world of fine woodworking.

Minimal Epoxy

Note: We need a better photo prior to purchasing this slab. The Sawmill took it at an angle so it makes photoshop tough for rendering.

Note: The right side of this slab is pretty amazing. We will have about 5’ to work with. This could be a pretty cool piece of wall art, stained to the Gotham color. We could also turn it into one of our clocks as well. Stain it Gotham as well.

This is a preliminary rendering above. This rendering shows the rough amount of the epoxy.

I expect the epoxy to blend into the tabletop and be minimally visible due to the fact we are going to stain this table.

Also, the angle on the photo I got is really tough to work with. I overestimated the amount of epoxy. I believe we can confirm this during the design process.

This is the closest example we’d have to the color you want. I believe you want to go darker, so we can do that. Also if we go darker instead of gray, the epoxy will be much less visible than in this example. That is gray epoxy.

Once we get the slab you select in person. We can do samples and you can choose from the samples in person.

Leg Option

We are about to release our 2025 Leg options for tables. This is one option I thought was a little lighter. I colored them in a Bronze powder coat, I wasn’t sure if you wanted straight black and thought this would be a little different. The finish is called Oil Rubbed Bronze.

Leg price can shift up or down from this point. We can go simpler depending what you want. Here is the color below on another base I did.

Here is the subframe of the table. This will help the table stay flat over time and will increase stability as well.

Here is the sweet of legs we are building. The color can change and each is priced differently.
