Jay and Heidi first bought a table from us, then came back with a request: design a chair that would complement the color of their table. We reviewed several ideas together and ultimately landed on a clean, mid-century design.
It wasn’t as easy as it sounds—we went through three prototypes before we found the one that felt just right. The final version features Chicago’s own Horween leather, perfectly matched to the tones of their table. We used locally sourced solid maple, finished in satin black, for the frame.
The arms are designed to slide 75% under the table, making it ideal for dining while still inviting enough for relaxed conversation long after the meal is over.
